Common uses

  • Combine report sections, appendices, and supporting documents into one file.
  • Join scanned pages that were saved as separate PDF documents.
  • Package invoices, receipts, or application materials for one submission.
  • Merge chapters or exported documents before sharing or archiving them.

PDF limits and requirements

The merger requires at least two PDF files. Each file can be up to 10 MB, and the combined upload can be up to 50 MB.

Corrupted or password-protected PDFs may not be readable by the merger. Remove document protection or repair the source file before trying again.

Controlling the merged page order

Every page from the first file is copied before pages from the second file, followed by the remaining PDFs in the displayed order. Use the arrow controls to move complete files before merging.

The tool combines whole documents. Use the PDF Splitter first when you need to extract or remove individual pages before the merge.

Server processing and file privacy

Files remain in your browser until you select Merge PDFs. They are then uploaded to a WebUtils server route and processed in request memory.

The application does not write uploaded PDF contents to its database or permanent file storage. The merged response is returned to your browser for download.

Frequently asked questions

How many PDF files can I merge?

You need at least two files. There is no separate file-count limit in the merger, but each file must be 10 MB or smaller and the combined upload cannot exceed 50 MB.

Can I change the order before merging?

Yes. Use the arrow controls beside each file to arrange the documents in the order they should appear in the merged PDF.

Are uploaded PDFs permanently stored?

No. The merge route processes PDF contents in request memory and does not write them to the application database or permanent file storage.

Can the tool merge password-protected PDFs?

Password-protected or corrupted PDFs may fail to process. Remove the password or repair the file before merging it.

Can I remove individual pages while merging?

The merger combines every page from each selected file. Use the PDF Splitter first when you need to extract specific pages.
